Aruba restaurants are amazing! One of the many reasons we look forward to our vacations on Aruba is for the unbelievable meals that we have enjoyed from an incredible selection of Aruba restaurants. On this island you will find an impressive assortment of fabulous international cuisine.

There are restaurants in Aruba right on the beach, poolside or on a tropically landscaped terrace. This creates a very romantic atmosphere where you can watch the sunset or gaze at the starry night sky. If indoor dining is what you want, you can chose from a variety of restaurants with either a casual or elegant ambiance.

We will let you know about some of our favorite places to dine, which will be followed by recommendations from other visitors to Aruba that we have spoken to.

Our Favorite Aruba Restaurants
Along Palm Beach

RUINAS DEL MAR (Hyatt Regency): On our very first trip to Aruba we stayed at the Hyatt Regency and dined at this fabulous Aruba restaurant on our anniversary. We had an amazing steak dinner! The service was excellent and the ambiance was and still is incredible. You have a choice of being seated indoors or outside surrounded by lush landscaping and black swans swimming in a lagoon. Save it for a special occasion. It is a bit pricey but is worth every penny.

The following year we returned and brought my husband's brother and our sister-in-law with us. They’re on the left and we’re on the right.

CAFÉ PICCOLO (Hyatt Regency): This is a popular Italian bistro that serves stone oven fired pizza that you create on your own. They serve fresh pasta dishes and delicious mussels and clams. It’s a casual atmosphere, with excellent service, and is kid friendly.

PAGO PAGO (The Westin Aruba Resort):(CLOSED AS OF FEBRUARY 2014) This is an upscale Aruba restaurant that serves “melt in your mouth” filet mignon! Ask for peppercorn sauce with your steak....Mmm….delicious! The garlic mashed potatoes and sautéed mushrooms top off the meal. My husband loves the onion soup. The service is very good and the atmosphere is lovely.
Ask to meet executive chef Matt Boland. He's not only a fantastic chef but a very interesting and friendly gentleman.

BLOSSOMS (THIS RESTAURANT REMAINS OPEN IN IT'S SAME LOCATION, ADJACENT TO THE RIU ANTILLAS RESORT) This restaurant has a Zen-like atmosphere and is not to be missed if you enjoy Japanese or Chinese cuisine.

CAFÉ BACI (The Westin Aruba Resort):(CLOSED AS OF FEBRUARY 2014)

Chef Sebastian Pinzone of the Cafe Baci Restaurant at The Westin Aruba Resort! What a great chef and a great gentleman! He's all smiles and willing to make all his guests happy with wonderful creative dishes!

This casual northern Italian bistro is one of our favorite Aruba restaurants for a leisurely dinner. My favorite dish is Shrimp Scampi a la Baci with a glass of Pinot Grigio. This year I was told it had been taken off the menu.

The wonderful staff at the restaurant was so accommodating that when we returned another night they made my wish come true and made Shrimp Scampi a la Baci! I hope they put it back on the menu for others to enjoy….it is scrumptious with its outstanding and unique subtle flavor.

The staff at Café Baci is one of the finest we have had the privilege of knowing all these years. They are friendly, lots of fun, and give you impeccable service. This restaurant is also known for their Spaghetti al a Formaggio prepared tableside inside a wheel of parmesan cheese.

Make sure you finish off your meal with one of their delectable desserts. This is also a family friendly Aruba restaurant. Don’t forget to add an extra gratuity for the staff….they deserve it!

SUNSET GRILLE (Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino): This Aruba restaurant has an outdoor terrace which has an intimate atmosphere. The food is excellent but it is pricey.

LAGUNA (Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino): This is a more casual dining option which offers themed buffets every Tuesday through Saturday evening. Decent food at a good price.

PURE BEACH LOUNGE BAR & RESTAURANT (Aruba Phoenix Beach Resort): This is a new open air restaurant located on the beach, with a trendy new ambiance. We ate here one afternoon and enjoyed our lunch. My husband had a tasty burger which came with a very generous amount of French fries, while I enjoyed chicken and cheese quesadillas. This is a family friendly dining option, but in the late evening it turns into a hot spot for the over 18 y/o crowd with dancing on the beach.

SUNSET BEACH BISTRO (Aruba Phoenix Beach Resort): This is a very casual outdoor Aruba restaurant on the beach with an incredible view of the ocean and the sunset. We have enjoyed breakfast there a few times but we have never eaten dinner at this restaurant. It is family friendly. The service is slow but after all, you are on vacation.

BON BINI CAFÉ (The Westin Aruba Resort):(CLOSED AS OF FEBRUARY 2014)

We enjoy the breakfast buffet at this indoor café. The waffles and the omelets are made fresh any way you like them. The staff is friendly, warm and attentive. We hope you’re lucky enough to have Agnes wait on you. She is a dedicated worker and she is a sweetheart. She always has a smile on her face….see the photo below.

SIMPLY FISH (Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino): This is an open air restaurant located on the beach with beautiful views of the sunset. Though the menu is limited, the food is well worth the price.

Our Favorite Restaurants In Oranjestad

IGUANA JOE’S CARIBBEAN BAR & GRILL (Royal Plaza Mall-Oranjestad): A casual outdoor (top level of the mall) fun family Aruba restaurant. Watch the people and traffic go by as you enjoy the food & drink. Open Monday through Saturday 11:00am until 11:00pm and Sunday 5:00pm until 11:00pm. It’s a great spot to relax and have lunch after shopping in town. Enjoy a Pink Iguana drink along with some fabulous fajitas or quesadillas.
